JUNE 2026: Software

TXdocs released an update with new forms and features to bring even more value to your subscription.

Select a section below to view a complete list of software updates:

  • NEW: Added a search box to the preview of forms, to make it easier to determine if this is the form you’re looking for.
  • IMPROVED: Clearer wording on the prompt that offers to save your answers to a client and case to prefill future documents. We strongly recommend to always use a case when assembling a document – the stored case data will save a lot of time when creating subsequent documents.
  • IMPROVED: Default answers can now store up to 5,000 characters (increased from 1,000); if you exceed the limit, you’ll be notified that the answer was truncated and saved.
  • IMPROVED: You can now sort the documents in ‘Recently Assembled’ and ‘Case Manager’ by date or file name by clicking on the column headers.
  • FIXED: Letterhead is no longer applied when its dimensions are invalid (zero width or height), preventing blank letterhead on assembled documents.
  • FIXED: Resolved a conflict between chapter filters and keyword search in form selection. Searching now resets the chapter to “All,” and switching chapters clears the search.
  • IMPROVED: Plaintiff and defendant name fields in the Parties component now allow up to 120 characters.
  • IMPROVED: The client/case export and import now includes the case type field for TXdocs Plus subscribers. On import, if a case type doesn’t exist, you’ll be prompted to add it.
  • FIXED: Pressing Enter in the Deadline Calculator search field now runs the search.
  • FIXED: Parents removed from the Heirship Tree are no longer included when documents are reassembled.
  • FIXED: The Heirship Tree tool no longer opens if you press Cancel on the initial name-selection window.
  • IMPROVED: When a contact or case is deleted, all associated Online Intake services are now automatically closed.
  • FIXED: Resolved an error caused by a missing lead document filing component when eServing documents.
  • FIXED: Resolved an issue that occurred when a case party already had a lead attorney.
  • FIXED: Corrected an alignment issue in the eFile overview for service contacts.
  • NEW: Added ‘Expand All’ and ‘Collapse All’ buttons to the Reopen Closed Cases screen.
  • IMPROVED: Clicking the Date or Initials column header in Case Notes now sorts the list accordingly.
  • FIXED: The Case Status report preview now displays correctly.
  • IMPROVED: In Anywhere Case Manager, the document list now refreshes automatically after you add files.
  • FIXED: Case Manager’s bottom buttons now reposition correctly when the window is made smaller.
  • FIXED: The “register case” prompt is no longer cut off when the window is too small.
  • FIXED: Corrected the Case Manager help text to read “add clients and cases.”
  • NEW: Attorneys can now crop uploaded signature images directly in TXdocs to remove unwanted padding.
  • NEW: A confirmation dialog now appears before deleting a staff member from Firm Settings.
  • IMPROVED: The Help › About screen now shows “Next monthly renewal” instead of “License expiration.”
  • FIXED: On Standard and Basic accounts, the billing-rate field now displays correctly on the staff form.
  • FIXED: The “You can drop image files on this window” prompt is now correctly hidden on the signature tab when set to Never.
  • IMPROVED: When a case is locked by an editor session, the message now directs you to the Editor Sessions Manager in the Utilities tab.
