TXdocs released a few quick updates in Family Law:

Keeping up with local rules effective June 1, TXdocs added the required language from the Tarrant County local rules “For Disposition of Family Law Cases” in Notice of Court Proceedings regarding submission of evidence. This language will be in all Notice of Court Proceedings in Family Law, those attached to motions, as well as the standalone version in chapter 18:

"Each party to this action hereby is notified that evidence shall be submitted to the Court in accordance with the Texas Rules of Evidence and in accordance with each Court's published procedure."

The webpage link for the court’s exchange of evidence has also been updated for Family Courts in Tarrant County.

Thanks to the Powell Law Offices for bringing this to our attention! Please let us know when your county or court issues changes or special requirements -- we want to help make your job easier!

TXdocs also updated some standing orders for family law cases in the following counties:

  • Franklin
  • Blanco
  • Burnet
  • Llano
  • San Saba

Chapter 47 forms with arbitration forms have also been improved for smoother assembly and formatting.
