January Content Update Details
Happy New Year from the TXdocs team! In last night’s update, we included some new forms and features to help get your 2024 kicked off right. Here are a few highlights:
Remote notarizations: As of January 1, there are new requirements regarding online notarization of documents. Tangible instruments can now be notarized online too. TXdocs has included a standalone Jurat form in all practice areas that covers all options.
Officials directory: Addresses and contact information have been updated according to the most current information available for each county. Courts, clerks, sheriff’s offices, and more can be looked up in Tools/Officials Directory.
Business Organizations
The Corporate Transparency Act, effective January 1, requires small companies to report beneficial owner information. A letter to clients informing them of the new rules and general information for reporting is included in chapter 1. Pro tip: Include an image or text of your firm letterhead in Setup to send letters even more efficiently!
