  • Simplified Practice Area Selection: The list of practice areas is now easier to browse – the list is ordered based on use instead of alphabetically. The 3 estate planning practice areas each have a description of what type of forms they contain.
  • Better support for letters with a custom letterhead and header: When assembling letters using a custom letterhead, headers now correctly appear only on subsequent pages – footers remain visible on all pages.
  • Contact Selection Fix: Right-clicking on a client or case in the Contacts Manager now highlights only the selected line.
  • Table Resizing: Tables, including captions, now resize correctly when the horizontal margins are adjusted. The default horizontal margin in Format Wizard is 1”.
  • Accurate Document Preview: Switching between custom and default margins now shows the correct margines in the preview of the document.
  • Improved Style Application: Applying styles now ensures consistent formatting across the entire document, including imported text.

Rate schedules allow assigning alternative rates per staff member in Billing Settings. You can select the appropriate rate schedule for a case in the ‘Edit Case’ option of the Contacts Manager.

  • Custom Time Notation: Rate schedules can override default billing settings – use hours:minutes for one group of cases and decimals for another. The selected notation is applied when creating time slips and statements.
  • Cleaner Statements Overview: Billing Manager’s overview of previous statements only shows a column for the statement number if statement numbers are enabled in Billing Settings.
  • Improved Rate Schedule Selection: Rate schedules with long description can now be selected for a case without issue.

Trust Deposit Requests can be used to send clients a document to request the initial payment into the trust account.

  • Text Customization: The text of the Trust Deposit Request can be configured in Billing Settings. The text supports placeholders for client/case specific information.
  • Email Customization: Add placeholders for client/case specific information to the Trust Deposit Request emails in Billing Settings.
  • Customizable Statement Email: Add placeholders for client/case specific information to the text of the email body when emailing statements in Billing Settings.
  • Amount Display option: Choose whether to display dollar signs on amounts on your statements.
  • Dashboard Timeframe Options: View the numbers of the last 30 days by default. The last 60 days can be selected as an alternative if needed.
  • Enhanced Email Communication: Added support for longer email text when sending a questionnaire to a client. The default email text can be configured in Firm Settings. Long case descriptions no longer get cut-off.
  • Extra Login Prompt: When opening Status All Cases, you’ll be prompted for login credentials if you’re not logged in.
  • User Role Explanation: Added brief explanations of user roles in Firm Management to make it easier to assign the desired role.
