January 2026
(Specific form updates are listed below)

On January 24th, TXdocs released an update with new forms and features to bring even more value to your subscription.

Many courts and agencies have been busy updating their forms for the new year, so this release also includes lots of updates to PDFs in the TXdocs library. Assembling these with your case file reduces the need to hunt down forms and fill in answers—if you regularly utilize a form that we don’t already have in our library, let us know!

In case you didn’t catch it during your New Year’s celebration, Misc. Docket No. 25-9105 was issued on Dec. 31, modifying the preliminary changes to Rule 143a and Part V of the TRCP. We’ve modified some of the language in the Landlord Tenant practice area to conform to the new amendments.

The Affidavit Concerning Identity of Heirs in Probate has more flexibility than ever before— you can now assemble as 2 separate affidavits OR a combined version that is signed by both disinterested witnesses. It’s also been built out to include perjury statements, verifications, and signature blocks for every heir and devisee when the decedent left a will.

Also in Probate, we’ve added 2 new forms: Letter to Comptroller for Undistributed Property and a Letter for Release of Bond.

But that’s not all! A comprehensive list of changes to forms can be found below, including 12 improvements specifically requested by our subscribers.
