HEIRSHIP TREE IMPROVEMENTS

One of the most significant and unique probate features of TXdocs is our Heirship Tree, which greatly simplifies the management of data dealing with heirs. This tool also helps you better communicate with judges and ad litems by helping them understand the heirs involved in a case and their individual interests in the probate estate.
Our latest release includes significant improvements to our Heirship Tree feature, making it easier to use and covering more fact situations.
We've created a short video to walk you through how to use this Heirship Tree tool. Like with probate and family law inventories, the Heirship Tree can be accessed through the "Tools" menu as well as when you are assembling documents.

TRANSITIONING FROM PRODOC TO TXDOCS WEBINAR - JUNE 29

With the news that Thomson Reuters is getting rid of ProDoc as of July 31, we know that a lot of people are trying to figure out their next move. TXdocs will be hosting a free webinar on June 29 discussing how easy it is to transition from ProDoc to TXdocs. This course is approved for 1.25 hours of CLE credit.

ONLINE INTAKE NOW TRACKS PROSPECTS

Our online intake software now lets you add prospective clients. This new category was added so a prospective client can input all of their data in advance of an initial meeting. The window where prospects can be added allows you to directly send out an Online Intake questionnaire, making this process super simple. Prospective clients will be included in the list of clients but can specifically be filtered out. When downloading an Online Intake questionnaire for a prospect, the prospect's information such as name, address, and phone number are updated. You also have the option to convert a prospect to a client manually.

BEHIND THE SCENES

Legislative Updates
We stayed busy tracking and analyzing all legislation passed during the recently-ended legislative session, and we're working hard to ensure that we implement all necessary updates before the date they go into effect.
Referential Integrity
Something unique to TXdocs that happens behind the scenes to help keep your documents correct is referential integrity. For example, if a client enters three children but you determine the first isn't a subject of the suit, you can delete the first child on the list and all of that child's data will be deleted. Without referential integrity, your data would become flawed because the second child would now automatically inherit all of the first child's interests.
This is something we're proud of that isn't included in Form Builder or Prodoc. Have you ever tried to delete a child in Form Builder? If so, you know that there is no option to delete a specific row of information in a table; it just automatically deletes the last one(s) entered. This causes issues with the software and creates more work for you. We have worked hard to solve this issue so you can trust the quality and accuracy of your assembled documents.

FEATURE SPOTLIGHT: IN APP MESSAGING

We have recently added an in-app messaging feature to TXdocs. This feature allows TXdocs to display messages from us to you right in the software. We can send a specific message to a specific subscriber, or we can broadcast a message to all subscribers. Additionally, when you send us a message either through our Concierge feature or through the "Contact Us" link, you can select whether you prefer to be contacted via email, phone, or in-app messaging.
Any messages received can be accessed by clicking on "Read Messages" in the top right corner of TXdocs.

Chief Technology Officer
Born in the Netherlands, Dries began working for TXdocs in 2015 as a remote contractor. Dries always dreamed of moving to America and seeing the world from a different perspective. As the Chief Technology Officer of TXdocs, Dries is responsible for all software development, tech support, cloud infrastructure and internal infrastructure. His team consists of tech support specialists, software developers and remote contractors, giving TXdocs the flexibility to assign tasks to the best-suited developer.
Dries says "I love writing software, especially business software. I really turned my hobby into a profession and never looked back. It's true that if you love what you do, you'll never have to work.
At TXdocs we are laser-focused on what's best for our subscribers and giving them what they need. Like all developers, I love building new products and features. Luckily, that is one thing we have plenty of: new ideas and plans. There are many exciting new features in the pipeline that I look forward to implementing. Adding value to TXdocs - that's what we do."
Dries is an avid pickleball and racquetball player. His 12 year old daughter started playing pickleball with him this year, so he anticipates they'll spend many hours on the court together this summer!

PROBATE DOCUMENT FOOTERS

Tarrant County has stated that they want the footers of all filed pleadings and orders to contain detailed information such as the title of the document, style of the case, cause number, and page numbering, and other counties may soon follow suit.
TXdocs now offers subscribers the option to check a box to select a standard probate footer for all pleadings and orders containing the above-referenced information. Note that this footer will be set as the default for all such documents to be filed in Tarrant County.

DATA ARCHIVAL - POLICY UPDATE

TXdocs has recently implemented a new policy whereby we will archive the data for a limited time whenever we close an account. If the subscriber decides to reactivate their account - and if the data is still available - we will charge a $125 data restoration fee to unarchive the data.

FORMZ UPDATES

Since our last newsletter we have received 55 new FormZ requests and have fulfilled 55 requests. 27 of those fulfillments were included in last month's release and 2 more were included in our June 2 release. We currently have 341 outstanding FormZ requests.
As a refresher, "FormZ" (pronounced "form-zee") is what TXdocs calls our proprietary software to track subscriber requests for new forms, fixes, or improvements.
